Shouldn't President Bush be out campaigning with John McCain? Instead, he's hiding away in exile at Camp David. Whoever heard of such a thing? Shouldn't he be helping McCain get out the vote, or something?
Oh, that's right. Despite saying, "I intend to have as much possible campaigning events together [with Mr. Bush] as is in keeping with the president's heavy schedule," McCain has ditched the President like a... a... thing that gets ditched easily. He wouldn't even allow Bush to show up at the Republican convention!
I'm not sure how you can do that to the leader of your Party -- I mean this is the guy who McCain has been following (voting with him more than 90% of the time) for the last eight years -- but there it is. John McCain is shunning President Bush now, but good.
At least they've got good old Dick Cheney out there stumping for McCain in Wyoming (Wyoming! Where those ingrates at Cheney's hometown newspaper just endorsed Obama -- and a Democrat is poised to become the State's only congressman), where he confirmed that a vote for McCain is a vote for more of the same Bush policy that we've had for the last eight years. Yippee!!
You know as well as everyone else that he's the "lamest", lame duck in our
history. He's keeping his head down and riding out his term (hopefully,
without too many fuck-ups!)
