The Right-Wing Assault on America's Founding Principles
by J.R. Norton
I bought this book a couple years ago but just got around to reading it. I thought it was pretty stale. I think it's an accepted fact now that the Bush administration stands against everything our founding fathers fought for.
That's not to say Norton doesn't do a thorough job of destroying any lingering feelings that Republicans are the inheritors of our founding father's principles -- he does. From the Patriot Act, to government secrecy to foreign wars, J.R. Norton destroys the Republican Party stance.
Hmm... I can't think of anything more to say about this book. It's a solid argument that the founding fathers are spinning in their graves over what the Bush administration hath wrought. If you're not convinced yet, read this book.
