I swear to God, the EPA under the Bush administration has become a travesty. Their latest atrocity involves paying poor families to video tape the effects of insecticides on their infant children. This can only be considered "research" in the same way that the Nazi's hideous experiments in the concentration camps were research.

In addition to our tax dollars, the $9 million Children's Environmental Exposure Research Study was also funded by the American Chemistry Council, a powerful Washington lobbying group representing the chemical industry. Thank God my hero, Senator Barbara Boxer, and her colleague, Senator Bill Nelson, put a stop to it.
